Street Fighter 6 is one of the most popular fighting games of all time thanks to its colorful style, powerful fighter reworks, and vibrant, fast-paced fighting style. Just like all of the retro fighting games before it, however, Street Fighter 6 has ways to taunt opponents — if you feel like being a bit toxic.

If you have ever found yourself wanting to make an opponent salty after obliterating their health bar, here’s how to taunt in Street Fighter 6.

How Do You Taunt in Street Fighter 6?

It’s pretty easy to taunt in Street Fighter 6. It just may not be the buttons you think it is.

If you’re using a controller, press one of the directional buttons on the D-Pad while you simultaneously press every punch and kick button. This should all be done at the same time. Then, flick the D-Pad in one direction.

Doing all of these at the same time will make your character taunt.

Every Street Fighter 6 fighter has three different taunts you can use to annoy opponents. Each one is activated with a different direction on your D-Pad (or your fighting pad or analog stick).

If you are having any problems trying to taunt in Street Fighter 6, change to Modern Controls. These controls are a lot more straightforward.

How to Change Facial Expressions in Street Fighter 6

To continue the trend of making each fighter on the roster more vibrant than ever before, developers have added more than just multiple taunts. You can also change your character’s facial expression during the loading screen before battles begin.

Is there a point? No. Is it fun to do? Yes.

Press the directional buttons on your D-Pad or move your analog stick in different directions. This will activate your various facial expressions, which range from a scowl to an excited smile.

Play with the different directions but it’s all pretty straightforward. Pressing downward will make them tilt their head down and frown.

The facial expressions do get a bit goofy, however. You’ll see them baring their teeth and wrinkling their noses.

While this sounds pretty novel, some fighting game fans pointed out that a similar thing was possible on the versus screens in Soul Calibur II. And this game may have even done it better.

Soul Calibur II came out all the way back in 2002. At that time, you could press a button to make your character shout out something at the opponent. This is something that fighting game fans have been reminiscing about ever since.

Now it looks like Capcom has decided to bring it back in Street Fighter 6. While it may not be the first time it’s been done, fans still love being able to express themselves before battle.
